14th Weekend in the Garden Biennial Conference

  • San Diego Botanic Garden 230 Quail Drive Encinitas, CA, 92024 United States (map)

At our 2019 conference, instructors from around the country will meet in the San Diego, California, area to share their expertise with you in both traditional and new, innovative basketry techniques and in gourd art crafting. There will be classes with the beginner in mind as well as the more advanced student. A members’ exhibit will be open to San Diego Botanic Garden visitors.

Registration is now open for the Weekend in the Garden! CLICK HERE to access the Guild’s class listing and ONLINE REGISTRATION pages on the San Diego Botanic Garden’s website. This is the first time that the Weekend registration will be strictly online, not via U.S. mail. One of the advantages of the new process is that you will be able to register for the class you want right away (no longer have to tell us your 2nd and 3rd choices). If a class is full or cancelled, you will know it before you attempt to register. Note that, in order to securely purchase your class, you will need to create a ACTIVENET account, and you’ll see more information about this at the bottom of the MWGBG class landing page.

For your convenience, you can CLICK HERE to download and review a hard copy of the CLASS CATALOG with class descriptions, color photos, registration details, teacher bios and conference activity schedule. (All of these details are online on the Garden’s website.) Please note that a number of classes have been canceled, so please download the PDF to check what classes have been canceled, as SD Botanic Garden registration page will not be updated until after March 27, 2019.

Those of you who are interested in ordering LUNCH for Saturday and/or Sunday, the order form can be downloaded by CLICKING HERE. It’s $10 per meal and the form has payment instructions.
