Following our regular meeting, potluck and show and share roundtable, a mini-workshop will be held for those who want to learn how to start a coiled basket.
Fellow Guild member Nadine Spier will show participants how to do a traditional start using "lazy stitches," then will learn how to do "invisible stitches." Lastly, students will learn how to make a very fine coiled start using no plant materials. . . Nadine calls it the "Marion Start," after one of my students who invented it!
There will be a small fee for this mini-workshop.
