Following the meeting and a show-and-share roundtable, fellow Guild member Carol Lang will teach how make a plated paper box. [Update: BYO lunch -- no putluck at this meeting.] This technique is something that can be applied to other basketry materials. This should be an interesting learning experience and hope you make it to the July meeting to join the fun! There will be a small fee for this mini-workshop, and Carol will provide the materials for the project.
Learn to make a paper box using only simple materials. The basic materials will be provided, but students are welcome to bring their own paper. Glossy magazine covers and heavier glossy catalogs work well. Card stock is a little too thick, but some will be on hand to try if you want to.
Please bring a bone folder or a ruler to crease your paper if you have this. Only one paper cutter will be on hand, so if you have one to share, please bring that too.
Instructor will provide: paper, card stock, paper cutter, bone folder and rulers to crease the paper, double sided tape, white glue, and instruction sheets.
