We invite you to attend a reception in conjunction with the Misti Washington Gourd and Basket Guild exhibit: “Anything that Will Bend” (11/1/22 - 1/3/23). The reception event is a part of the Encinitas “Art Night” and will be held at the Encinitas Community Center on Saturday, November 19 from 5:30 - 8:30pm. Refreshments will be served and there will be demos by members of the Guild as well as additional artwork for sale. We also encourage Guild members to participate and/or take this opportunity to visit with fellow members and perhaps attend other Encinitas Art Night exhibits happening this same evening.

The “Anything that Will Bend” theme is to highlight their three-dimensional artwork made with many different natural materials including pine needles, straw, willow, oak, wisteria, forsythia, vines, stems, animal hair, hide, grasses, thread, wooden splints.

The goal of the Misti Washington Gourd and Basket Guild is to preserve, promote and perpetuate the appreciation of gourd and basket art by providing a supportive, sharing and educational environment.
