At this this gathering, details of the May Weekend in the Garden will be discussed and volunteer sign-ups will take place.  In addition to a potluck item, bring a gourd or basket you've created, are working on, or a project you need help with.  We also love seeing your found treasures and/or hearing about your adventures and news about baskets and gourds that you'd like to share.  

Following the meeting, potluck and show and share, we will show a wonderful DVD entitled "Grass Roots: The Enduring Art of the Lowcountry Basket" about southern sweet grass basket makers.   

REMINDER:  Members, please bring your boxed entries for the Encinitas Library exhibit AND the Weekend in the Garden exhibit in the Ecke building to this meeting.  [Ref. Pg. 2 & 4 of the First Quarter newsletter for instructions on label information, show duration, and alternative delivery options.]  

ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY:  We suggest that entries in the Weekend exhibit be entered into the San Diego County Fair Home and Hobby exhibit.  Judi Shaw can take your boxed item at the end of the Weekend exhibit for group delivery to the fairgrounds on May 16.  However, you will need to have completed your online entry prior to that time and include a copy with your entry.
