We hope you will join us at the San Dieguito Heritage Museum at Heritage Ranch (450 Quail Gardens Dr. Encinitas, CA, 92024; turn onto Ecke Ranch Rd. to access driveway). to help us make small woven pins that will be given away at the August 2 Annual Basket and Gourd Class Day. Among other tributes, this is one of the things we are doing to celebrate the Guild’s 30th Anniversary.

We meet outdoors under a covered patio, so please dress accordingly. There is electricity for crockpots, but no kitchen facilities.

There will be the usual roundtable show-and-share and announcements from fellow members, and the Board will share pertinent topics with the group. We encourage you to bring finished projects and/or your works-in-progress. If you have a problem piece, fellow members can brainstorm ideas that may help you. We’ll also enjoy visiting with each other during the potluck lunch prior to the.

Following these activities, we will all gather around to help produce several dozen woven pins that will be given away at the this year’s Basket and Gourd Class Day. You will work with flat reed and learn a simple technique that can be used to make more elaborate decorative items in the future. Bring sharp scissors and an old towel.

Those of you who wish to learn more about Guild business are welcome to join the Board meeting that will take place at 11:00am, before the Noon members’ meeting.
