The Misti Washington Gourd and Basket Guild presents an art show at the beautiful Serra Mesa - Kearny Mesa Library. This Library hosts rotating art exhibitions featuring local and regional artists in two lovely glass cases.

Fifteen members of the Misti Washington Gourd and Basket Guild — Peggy Blessing, Alison Hiers, Sue Kamin, Natalie Kuhlman, Carol Lang, Olive Moore, Jennifer Tang-Limon, Judy Robelotto, Grace Swanson, Misti Washington, Don Weeke, Peggy Wiedemann, Ron Wilson, Nanette Wood and Debra Zimmerman — have their artwork in the library from July 1 to August 29, 2026. 

Members of MWGBG represent all levels of interest in basket and gourd making — beginners, professionals, hobbyists and collectors. The members all share a common fascination for handmade vessels and sculptural objects — whether ornamental or utilitarian — and for the natural and manufactured fibers used in their construction.

The exhibit is free and open to the public. Hours Wednesday—Saturday, 9:30am—6:00pm; Tuesday, 11:30am—8:00pm. Closed Sunday & Monday. Check the Serra Mesa Kearny Mesa website for possible changes in operating hours. The phone for the library is (858) 573-1396.
