If you attend this meeting, you will have a unique opportunity to win a fabulous door prize! President Carol Lang has donated a gorgeous pine needle basket! [See photo.] There is no charge for this drawing, you earn a ticket simply by attending the meeting!

We meet outdoors under a covered patio, so please dress accordingly. We look forward to being with you all to find out what you’ve been up to and discuss and receive feedback on Guild activities.

Remember to renew your membership for 2026! You can download form on the Join Us page. Many thanks to those of you who have already renewed! (Those joining during Basket & Gourd Class Day or after August 30, 2025, have memberships valid through the end of 2026.)

There will be the usual roundtable show-and-share with announcements from fellow members, and the Board will share pertinent topics from the earlier Board meeting. We encourage you to bring finished projects and/or your works-in-progress. Also, if you have a problem piece, fellow members can brainstorm ideas that may help you.

We’ll also enjoy visiting with each other during the potluck lunch prior to the mini-workshop. There is electricity for crockpots, but no kitchen facilities.

Example of Marsha Orr Mini-Workshop Project

Following these activities, Marsha Orr will teach a woven box mini-workshop. Although small, this project introduces basic basketry skills such as creating a filled base, over-under interrupted weaving, and twining. Basic basketry tools to bring: scissors and a towel. There is a $5 fee for the mini-workshop.

Those of you who wish to learn more about Guild business are welcome to join the Board meeting that will take place before the Noon members’ meeting at 11:00 a.m. at the Heritage Museum.

For those who cannot attend the meeting in person, an email with a Zoom option will be sent to current members the week before meeting (not an option for mini-workshop portion of meeting.)
