We invite you to attend a reception in conjunction with the Misti Washington Gourd and Basket Guild exhibit: “Anything that Will Bend” (1/12/23 - 4/19/23). The reception event is a part of the Encinitas “Art Night” and will be held at the Encinitas Community Center on Saturday, March 4, 2023, from 5:30 - 8:30pm.

There will be demos by members of the Guild as well as additional artwork for sale. We also encourage Guild members to participate and/or take this opportunity to visit with fellow members and perhaps attend other Encinitas Art Night exhibits happening this same evening.

“Weaving Together Many Thousands of Threads” describes the process of many of the projects produced by the members of the Misti Washington Gourd and Basket Guild. Most of the baskets and other artworks created by the members take untold hours to produce. They are certainly a labor of love and always one of a kind.
