Members and guests are welcome to at the San Dieguito Heritage Museum at Heritage Ranch (450 Quail Gardens Dr. Encinitas, CA, 92024; turn onto Ecke Ranch Rd. to access driveway). We look forward to being with you all to discuss plans for the Guild’s future and receive members’ input. We meet outdoors under a covered patio, so please dress accordingly.
This will be the first time we'll be trying a potluck in years! Note there are no kitchen facilities, so you might want to keep your dish picnic-style at this time.
Following the meeting, show-and-share and potluck lunch, Grace Swanson will teach a mini-workshop on a technique she developed to decorate a gourd with beads. She will provide Aileen’s fast grab glue and the beads, plus ink dyes for option to dye gourd before adding beads.
If you have these items, bring a gourd shard or small gourd cleaned out or an ornament-sized gourd, a heat gun, a fine-tip awl or toothpicks to pick up beads, and a container to keep the glue bottle pointed upside down. There will be extras of all of these items to share if you do not have them handy.
For those who cannot attend the meeting in person, an email with Zoom option will be sent to current members the week before meeting (not an option for mini-workshop portion of meeting.)
